Welcome

The South Queensland Conference is one of nine conferences forming the Australian Union Conference of the South Pacific Division of Seventh-day Adventists.

Extending from the New South Wales border in the south to the South Australian and Northern territory borders in the west and up to St. Lawrence in the north, the territory is vast and challenging.

As is typical of the Australian demographic, most of our membership resides in the capital city of Brisbane and the large provincial cities of the north and west. As of 2010, baptized membership exceeded 11,000.

Our Adventist Education System in South Queensland operates seven schools – two stand alone primary Schools and five combined Primary/Secondary Schools. Two of these schools have associated child care centers. As at 2010 enrolment totalled some 2,400 students.

South Queensland Conference also manages four aged care centres: Yeppoon, Caloundra, Victoria Point, and Nerang, caring for over 800 residents. These include nursing homes, hostels and independent living units dedicated to the compassionate care of the residents and their families.

We invite you to explore this website to discover the exciting aspects of the ministry programs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in South Queensland.
